i got it from a local guy who makes these for newer bikes (cbr's zx's ect...) so i was talking to him and he liked the Kerker setup i had and offered to make a prototype for mine... (clasic bike.... his first) and so he made one in 2.5in for the kerker header...

he uses some kind of 4 port air intake on the front side of the "can" and then uses that air to coool the inner pipe by doing that it "forces" the HOT exhaust gas faster out of the pipe... there is 2 little straw things that the "outter air" exits at.... its fairly sofisticated...

bottom line... the outside carbon fiber outter stays cold to the touch so if you ever have a passenger they wont melt thier shoe's or burn thier leg on the muffler...

he only charged me $200 and he custom fit it for my bike i will post pics of the inside and the intake ports its actually very k0ol!

its sounds really good kinda like a cross between a Kerker and a modern bike it uses steal whool packing so it wont blow out over time like fiberglass will in the kerker so it kinda has a slightly sharper note to... but at idle it is suprisingly quite... but as soon as you get on it it comes alive.

Steel wool wont last forever, but probably longer than glass wool.
I am thinking an oval shaped can might fit the bike better..

at least it's repackable.  lets hear some clips of it running!!  go get a video!

but it doesn't look bad, esp. for $200.  nice score!

i will get some as soon as the final touches are made....

soooo btw i tried the look and size of the ROUND can it was toooo big the triangle one was a much better fit and there is ROOM left over to lean over... VS the round can you would have to mount MUCH higher up to get the same effect...

here are the pics as promised...

you can see the inner tubes i was talking about along with the intake holes on the front... you can really feel this thing draw in air and as it heats up the air draw becomes greater and the outer muffler stays cold...

the video of it running as promised notice how i touched the muffler and it was not warm at all... it had been running for about 3-4min and my kerker baffle would of been a little uncomfortable to touch at that point...

the hanger is not an after thought its how most modern hangers on carbon fiber bikes work its a metal strap (aluminum) and it has silicon glued on the inside of the strap so it will stay in place... i have to trim the top and re drill the hole a little larger to acomidate the pass peg...

but other than that its good i like it!
