Topic: 77 550 K/F petcocks same threads?

 Will a 550k petcock from a 77K fit a 77F. Will it thread on the bung of the tank? The F drops the fuel nipple from the bottom. The K goes out the side. I can find a 77 550K petcock but the 550f seems to be very elusive to me for the last 4 months!  Thanks for a confirmation(that it will thread on an F tank) or any info on getting a good or new petcock for a 77 550F.

Honda still had the packing rubber last time I checked. I did a "how to" for repairing them for short money.

Do an advanced search for petcock repair.

The 77 550f  petcock is riveted together. Whats packing rubber? The problem besides weeping is the 77 f nipple snapped off going in to storage last fall. This is my Fathers bike in northern NH. It has 9K miles and is bone stock.

More searching has led to this. The 77 550F petcock is the same as a 76/77 CJ360T and the 77 MR175!  Im still suprised the 77 550K wont fit but since I have no way of comparing I have to ask if anyone has a 360T or MR175 petcock in there garage they dont need? The Honda # I need is
