Gazi Suspension
« on: March 01, 2010, 02:51:52 PM »
Has anyone had these shocks on their bike Gazi sport x light. they run around $265 Was thinking of placing them on my 71 cb500/four. they are also similar to the YSS shocks in the lower price range that they offer named RE-302 Which come in around $329. Was considering each on there merits. Used for sport riding in rural area with ruff uneven pavement.
thanks

Well they look nice mate, so that's a start. I wouldn't recommend the YSS "Bravo" shocks in the bottom pic though, I've got two new pairs here that I bought (via a mate) from the Australian distributor, who was getting rid of all his stocks of YSS shocks for 50 bucks a pair.

The springs are way too hard (and I'm almost 300 pounds) and the shocks are under-damped, and when I pulled mine apart to install the optional spring covers to make them look more like the OEM shocks on my CB750K2, I found that the damping rate was noticeably different between the two shocks. They look OK, but are not good quality. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Upon further looking into topic. found a thread about best aftermarket shocks and you had chimed in with your comments towards the Bravo's which took note of. turboguzzi left a link to a supplier in Italy that carried some shocks that he recommended. upon looking closely, they are the same manufacturer, they did well at the track when he used them. http://www.ammortizzatori.net/
