Hello Mate!

In my experience, engines are much easier to fix than all that welding/painting/plastic stuff.  I'd always go for a good looker and fix up the engine if required. If your chop is a 550, can you tell us what it was based on?  I see you're in the UK so it was either a 75/76 F or a 77/78 K?

Where are you? (fill in your bio!)

Then post some pictures in the gallery.

PS - not trying to be a pedant (much) but please try to write in sentences as it makes it sooo much easier to read  8)

and...    why "boggy"?

You got a perfectly nice welcome, boggy.  An intelligent response with some opinion thrown in for good measure, and then a polite request to use punctuation so that your posts are easier to read for the people who are willing and happy to help you out for free.  And like I said before, welcome to the forum! ;D

Goes with the blue stars I guess.

I will not criticise anyone for spelling or grammar but feel that it is part of the moderator role to keep the forums readable.

Enough of that - it's a free world / forum.

Let's see some of these pictures and post your location on the map.
