All this talk of chopper, bobber, classic stocker, cafe, full bagger, and rocket whatever....
Which bike is you?

I dislike choppers and bobbers. Not because of what they look like or thier function. Because they have become too name brand.

Always going against the grain.... ;D ;D ;D

I'm shooting for "pro-street".  I don't really know what that means so I'm defining it as I go along.   So far it means big motor, lots of chrome, stock body work, and other stock looking, but differents pieces.  Pictures to follow.

personally, I lthe stock classic look but, I also like to see innovative changes others make to give their bikes a custom or cafe racer look. If I had the room and money, I'd probably have atleast 2 of several different models. 1 would be pure stock and the other would be, there's no telling what you would call it. The one thing I can say is, it would definately have rear suspension. I've been around too long to have this body being jarred by every bump in the road, if you know what I mean. I just have to say, there are certainly alot of folks on this site, with some great ideas and talents for putting them to use. Well, enough said, I gotta go for now.  Bill

I like the stock 77-78 750 but I also like the stock '84 V65. I dont like most rockets but there wasa concept bike honda had a few years ago that I really liked and would probably get it if honda decided to produce it.

They forgot the fur lining in the middle. ;D

I wouldn't mind owning one, but that bike cost more then my car.

Thank goodness there is an ample supply of bikes in disrepair.  It's cheaper to chop/cafe than restore.

Nothing wrong with saddle bags if you're going to ride for more than half a day, or commute to work.  I have soft bags for my ZRX and some 1980's black plastic bags on my 1980's Honda.  I guess it depends on what the motorcycle is being used for.

However--don't even begin to think about Corbin "Beetlebags".................................. ::)

Not to sure about that statement re a Cafe'. restoration.....Same sandblaster, same powder coating, same perfect tank, sides, same detail to engine"maybe more". Same carb rebuild, same fork seals, same brakes, same headlight bucket, light and rim etc., etc.

Unless you are shopping for a Sandcast I don't see any difference except for the style you end up with.

Mine was certainly over $5000.+ including $800.00 buy price. God I'm glad my wife doesn't read this :D

Just tell her it's still cheaper than the new plastic you can buy today and you're riding a piece of history.  :D

Think she'd buy that?

I like them all. But if you can not build it yourself, and I can't thwn I would go for a classic unmolested look, But I am not in to a 100% perfect restoration, I want a bike that can be used and enjoyed in all weather.
Btw, that Goldie with the airbag; does that look like a big pink arse stuck up in the air, or is it just me being a pervo?
Jim.
