CB 175 twin work continues... Cleaning the lower engine case.

I'm no polisher but I simply could not stand to look at this engine case any longer.  I just wanted respectability.  That grime was extremely dificult to get off; scraped and brushed with a rotary tool...

Save yourself a lot of work, and get better results - have that stuff media blasted.

I'd like to try that "do it yourself" soda blaster I've seen described here but I think my compressor isn't strong enough (about 110 psi tops).   ???
