excited, I found a 750 from my youth

My brother ran into a guy that owned a 750 since the early 70's. One of those bikes that was a local street legend when I was a teenager. It had longer forks and a custom tank with indents down the sides near the top. A local 750 mechanic built the 836 in it. It  was fast and always looked perfect, if not my favorite style. Anyway we are going to have a look, he broke a leg on it and is willing to sell. (I hope it's not hurt worse than he was.) I'll report what we find. He kept it running up to a year ago but rarely rode it. Harleys now. The guy that built the engine wants it too but he doesn't know where it is.

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

He wants us to see it before we talk turkey. Maybe no longer in it's prime, If the only the engine is left I would still like to have it. I've got 3.5 parts bikes.

I know a lot of the guys like to build their own engines from scratch- $$$$- but I love finding them already done if reasonable and seeing what they got. Good luck on it.

Yes, thats it, tanks. They were popular for a while, there used to be a few riding around here. ;D
If he ends up with it and it's still as good as expected, big brother is thinking about sliping it into his bought new, K4. Maybe with the RC cam.
