Which Tank?
« on: February 17, 2010, 07:16:16 AM »
400F red tank
  nice exterior
  different
  needs rust removal on inside

modified 750 stock tank
  clean inside
  custom knee indents hammered in
still needs some finishing work and paint

Which one looks better?  I like them both but I need to sell one for more bike money.  This thing is oh so close to hitting the street.

PS--check out the seat pad and the 400F rearsets on the fuzzy pic.

I vote second tank.  Something about the 400f tank just doesn't fit the lines of the tail piece as well as the 750 tank in my opinion

Unfortunately, I promised it to a buddy if I don't use it.  With his friend discount he'll pay $60.  I know it would sell for much higher on Ebay.  I can always try, "Oops, I forgot man.  You can still bid on it if you want it." ;D

Both are nice tanks, #2 seems to go with the seat pan better.

+1

Its slabby lines blend right into those of the engine.

Feedback appreciated.

Dented tank stays.  I took out a lot of aggression smacking that sucker.  Im a bit proud of the final result so Im not going to part with it......not yet anyway.
