CycleX shocks

I've had good luck with CycleX and they don't sell crap pieces but I have no idea on these shocks. They're going to be better than my current bagged out set but who's used them and what did you think?


Cycle X  dual spring shocks
13 inches long.
Eye to clevis mounting with various bushings for universal fitment.
5 way adjustable with adjustment tool.

I'm no expert or road racer but mine work fine. I like the progressive spring.

That's my guess  ;D The only other choice really in that price range is Progressives but at $182 without springs they'll push the change even further into the future.

So unless there's a seriously good reason to wait on the progressives for a daily rider that sees action only every now and again I'm thinking CycleX is a very good deal... Not that I want to impede the action just cause I'm cheap  ::)

For 69 bucks it's a crap shoot. Besides, not all the junk made in China is bad. If you don't like them then EBay them.

Those look like the MIDI/Forsa shocks that are sold on a bunch of websites.  Partsnmore has them for $75 with chrome springs.  They work fine.  The springs are a bit on the heavy side if you are a light guy, otherwise no complaints.  I use them on my various track bikes that I build as loaners.

I agree they look like the Midi/Forsa.  Why does the manufacturer make such stiff springs?

Maybe they only have one guy in their R&D dept and he weighs about 325...
