76 cb750 price question
« on: February 24, 2010, 06:48:40 pm »
What would a fair price be for a 1976 cb750 with the following:  has non original single color paint job, needs new petcock, could use new rear tire, has both sidecovers with emblems, orig 4 into 4 pipes with some rust holes, its supposed to run good(ridden all last year put away in nov) all lights/gauges work.  What would be a fair price to pay for this?

Non original paint, rust holes in exhaust means they are probably toast, tires etc--up here in Michigan probably $700.00-$800.00. How many miles ??

21,000 miles new front tire will prob need new rear by end of this season, the rust is only on the ends of a couple of the pipes-the bodys of the pipes are good.

I think the $650-750 price range would be fair. It all depends what you are going to do with bike. If going back original, then you have to figure in repainting gas tank, headlight bucket and side covers. If you're just want a nice bike to ride and don't care about the paint issues; then you'll come out ahead. Here in Kansas; that's about what they go for in the condition you described. Blue isn't a bad color......Steve

Funny thing about regret is...... its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't done.
