thanks  for the advice anyways industrial! i was just in m garage and thought id give it a try, i really do like the finned clamps.thanks to everyone who gave some advice. cheers!

i guess it was a stupid question....but i dunno i htought maybe there would be consistency. would having larger header pipes allow for more power?what are the benefits of them being wider?

think of the difference in sound from a car with 2 1/4 inch pipes compared to a car with 3 inch pipes.

same principle. it lets the low frequencies out.

I have a 2 1/4 pipe on my van, and I switched to 3... wow what a difference.

I have 2 mack systems and use the stock collars and keepers on it no mods.  Have a jardine that has the welded plates like TT said.  
Maybe someone spread the flange more or they are something "special".

well the pipe its self is one and a half inches wide, and my other stock pipes are 1 inch. if what you say is right industrial then im looking forward to my motor being finished!! i cant wait to hear what she's going to sound like!!

And most stock pipes are double walled so they are really even smaller.  Way heavier also.
