muffler options please
« on: February 24, 2010, 05:14:31 AM »
I would like to eliminate the long muffler and try to get a short baffle set-up for the cafe.
Have a look at the pics and see that the silver clamp is where the muffler detaches.
Any thoughts on what I can put on there to keep the system short and reasonably quiet.
Open exhaust is not an option :o

I would say, yes, the silver clamp is where the two peices part company. Is the baffle removable? If so, I would say take it out, see if it can be shortened up and then shorten the pipe to go along with it. Check out Cone Eng for baffle parts if you need them.

Also, see if that that header can be bend a little upward at the end so the pipe points up a bit further.

My 2 cents anyway...

I was considering that as an option but just thought I would get some other ideas.
