76' 750F vs 77' 750K engines ?
« on: February 24, 2010, 07:17:45 PM »
My 77 cb750K has sprung a headgasket leak yet again. I came across a 76' 750F engine on craigslist for around 150 dollars that i want to swap. The the F engine supposedly only has 10k miles on it, and is clean and Dry.  Does this seem like a good idea ? I know the F engines are supposed to have hotter cams and alittle more performance, are there any other differences between the two? What about carbs? i imagine the jetting is different.

The F has the older style valve/keeper/retainer system which is much better. Other than that they are basically the same
