My "new" bike, it was free!
« on: January 10, 2006, 02:52:45 PM »
Here's my latest find and it was free! I did search the title but the current owner is in Southeast Asia so it may be some time before I get title. You'll notice the wonderful spray and brush paint job and the oil filter bolt sheared off. On the other hand the engine turns over freely and the carbs are in great condition.
I wonder how many other SOHC's like this are out there?
Cheers,
Cliff.

i think that's a oneofakind dude!  the one's with out tanks and seats were super rare... and top it off with the sheared bolt... let's just say you should hang on to that one.   8)

Yep, it'll be a little tough to ride, on the other hand they'll be short rides.

UMMMM???????
The score master says UMMMMM?????
Ok it is cool because it is free. But with last registered owner in Mutha' Freak'in ASIA. I think the battle is best paid for by a title agency.

Personally I normally part out anything that gives me a fight on the title area.

Does she run? I guess this is key.

Sorry for my sarcasm, I hit scores constantly that make other drool, that I pass on...... ;D

Keep in mind I am the guy who scores 7 bikes for $40.................

I wonder how many other SOHC's like this are out there?

I have a storage unit with bunches of them. I think I am on number 9 on the SOHC 750's. I just noticed as I walked the new guy through some bike parting goodies today.

Perhaps even more rare, the coveted CB750 (Cheese Booster 750)....

Here I thought I had done a good deal when I bought 3 bikes (74' Hodaka Road Toad 100cc, 74' Kawasaki F9 350 Big Horn and a 73' Yamaha RD350) for $75 but. ElCheapo's got me beat. Does the fact that traded an 80' Suzuki DR500, that needed a ring job and reassembled, for two CB450s, That also needed work, count? I felt pretty good about that one too. Well, anyway, any "Freebie" bike would have to pretty bad shape for me not to pick up on it. Good deal there Magpie.  Bill

El, I guess that's at least one thing Terry might be doing with it... It is almost too scarry to think of the other applications!  :o
