Paint opinions please

so its gonna be a nice rainy weekend and im really broke, so its time to fill some dings on the tank and give it another rattle can special. Now i know people are getting tired of the checks, but i think im going that route any way... :P but a little different. i did a test on a spare side panel and thought id ask for some input, or other ideas are always appreciated.
the final will probably be a satin black with gloss check...

i agree with mastercheif i would go to the ends of each panel. also there is nothing wrong with the checkers. it's your bike and what you think looks good, is all that maters.

I don't know what type of finish you're going for, flat or satin. I went "cheap" also & went for a satin finish. I tried a clear gloss over flat black & came out too glossy & a little grey. I ended up doing a satin clear over flat black & got just what I was looking for.
