Anywhere to get sound or video clips for SOHC4's?
« on: January 13, 2006, 12:38:49 PM »
I am sure someone here has or knows where I could download some clips (sound or video) of these things running...I am really wishing I could be riding instead of at work right now....

Listen to this one!  If you do a search for wmv files on this site, you'll find a few.

www.cmsnl.com has a section (called the Honda Fansite) where you can download movies and sound clips. You can also find some member's clips in the movies polls and humor section.

Sounds like the timing chain is about to slap it to death just before the potato comes out of the exhaust. ???

Sounds like some of the big 8s that the boys use to drag on the 1/4 mile.

That's Harry's (work, I think) site. He hosts a few movies for members here.

If you like I'll clean up the "Movies" forum as it was supposed to be for films of owners bikes and seems to be full of "did you see Easy Rider" posts.

SteveD,
I, for one would like that.  There's nothing else to do all winter but watch others' videos!  And I've already seen Easy rider.

Steve, good idea. This is the first CB I've owned and I often wonder about the engine noise - if it sounds about right or not.
The whole concept is a good idea as some of the more knowledgable engineers on this site could perhaps determine faults or possible problems by the sound of members engines.

Just picky here. ;D

I swear I can hear the tiniest sound of timing chain just an itty bit loose or valve train noise and I'm not used to the 4 into 1 sound. Running the stocker HM pipes here which naturally have a different tone altogether. ;D ;D

Listen REAL close.... and you will hear it. ;D

I've tidied up the "Movies" forum a bit and will move these new links over there.

I still think you're nuts, so here's what I propose: We go over to his house and verify the chain is adjusted correctly and relash the valves.  Then, we take it for a test drive!
