cb750 Swingarm Pivot Bolt?
« on: February 27, 2010, 03:57:31 AM »
I've butchered my K7's swingarm bolt getting out of the frame :'(
Anyone know if there is a bolt from another bike that will fit? Length, diamiter, strength etc.

I could get a friend to turn one I guess, but just wondered if anyone had used a production bolt, off the shelf - or ebay?

Did you check ebay? There are several on there.  Try the parts wanted section or parts for sale section.

Ask for close up picks so you don't get another one that is beat to $hit

I believe early cb750 pivot bolts are the same wideth, so that will give you more search options

Thanks Toxic, thats good to know. I'm in the UK where 750 parts are not so common, but I'll keep looking!

I found out my swing arm bolt was bent.  I found two used ones on eBay.
I paid about $12 for one and like $18 for the other one.
One was for a '75 the other was from a '71. They were identical.
i was glad I bought both because one of them was also bent!
Do you have a copy of the Honda Shop Manual or Parts List for your bike? Get one here:

No PM yet.

Let me 'dig' it out, take it to work and put on 'v' blocks to see it's not bent. It is the type with no grease nipple (zerk) at the end, as this is in the swinging arm on the K7 I stripped (for the crank on my K0).

Cheers

Ash

You can look up the part number on the left then under Quick Part Lookup on the right enter Honda and part number 90121-426-000. This will tell you which bikes our part fits.

I have 2 NOS bolts, one of which I'll be using on my restore of my 75 CB750F. I found them on EBay as a 2 for 1 package deal.
