Dont worry 007, bet Brent would love to know his CRUZING speed too, after all, he is a half self confessed CRUZER guy who lurks in hipo for no foreseeable reason.

we'll all have to wait till he gets his behinds to the track to know his CRUZING speed for real, nobody can predict :)

Yep that's me, the half assed, self confessed cruzer/lurker pokie bastard.

Bill, it's all about time constraints. Working on the chassis, modified Kerker nearly done, lots of lttle stuff to finish and will assemble the engine last thing.

I'm not sure it's so wild but MRieck likes to call it "Waller's Hammer" and seeing as how he had a hand in the ports I live in hope.  ;D

No Don, they are certainly different. From memory there are only three identical gears shared between the two models. The 400F uses a separate shaft for all three shift forks, the 360 hangs two on a shaft and one rides on the shift drum. The drums are much different, and the shift mechanisms share nothing at all.

"Waller's Hammer"........ such a Nordic feel to it. ;D  Boy I do like that. A 650 head on that bike would really create a stir Brent. ;D

The gearbox has been awesome but on two different occasions there were teeth stripped from original CB360 gears. (always the sliding double module gears) This winter Ellis is making three more new replacements. Any gears he has produced have been trouble free, obviously better materials. Best explanation for failure is that the original gearbox was simply not designed to transmit double or triple the original output.

The only other change from original is with detent rollers. Often these rollers are badly worn and have a negative effect on effortless shifts. I switched to mini bearings and a larger OD drum stop roller to more closely match the shift drum cam plate. I felt a difference in ease of shifting immediately. This is something people should look at.

As for Mike's comment on the "Hammer", I would love to try the 650 head but alas is not class legal. I have distinct plans (in my head) for a 650 short stroke engine but that would be an AHRMA weapon....any sponsors out there??? Mike & I haven't stood still though, there are (hopefully) improvements in place for 2016!

How much Hp do you expect to gain with the 650 head?

 I believe you're around 72 now if I remember correctly.

Sorry Scott, no plan for a 650 head on this engine. It's outside of the class rules.
