I put this here out of interest rather than in the "Bikes For Sale" section as nobody on this board (surely) would pay $25k for it.

What do they mean by "FIRM" - no offers??

A reliable friend of mine told me he knows of a fellow who has 3 1979 CBXs still in the crate. And remembering talking to local dealrers in 1979 and 1980 they were dearly overstocked with CBXs that they couldn't move. So, given the character of the friend, and the fact that CBXs didn't move as expected, I honestly believe there are lots still virginal out there,

I don't think an NOS complete bike is for me.  Can't really ride it, can't really modify it.  Don't need to polish it because it doesn't get dirty.  Best you can do with it is look at it and say you own it - great for those who can do it, but it's not for me.
