the guy says it's a 19 inch dual disc front wheel off a 2001 narrow glide sportster "captain america"
his own bike as he says.

but it looks strange to me.
He and I have had a dialog going on it for a few days.
I asked for better pics earlier today, and he hasn't responded yet.
I had to modify the pic, cause it was very dark.

what's it off of?

I dunno what that wheel is from.  The spokes on mine are inners, that one looks like some of the spokes are outers; I don't think they'd clear the calipers.

that's what I was thinkin, unless they are spaced further back from the rotor mating face...

I'm trying not to spend 150+ bucks on a damn wheel.

I think I know what you are going for, I don't think that''s it.. Its not the narrow rim you are looking for. Pending new photo's I would move on..

I think you're right Scott, after some research it looks to be a 01/02 Road King front wheel with a 16 inch rim.

I asked the seller if he mistakenly put the wrong picture up, but I think he might be a bull #$%* artist.

Maybe you'd be better off just stepping up and plunking down the coin on a new one; you could spend a lot of time trying to get lucky on eBay.

Yeah stay away from that guy.. He says he never makes mistakes.. just ask all my ex wife and ex girlfriends..really.. never make a mistake? Plus what does that have to do with bikes? I am pretty sure he meant he never makes mistakes where bikes are concerned, however his attitude sucks.. I would stay away from that seller if it where me..

I will ask around, the guy across the street from me is a big HD fan, he has 2 Big Dogs and 2 brand new HD cruisers.. Also I can ask at Redline cycles, he had some rims like you want laying around, I just don't know if they are for sale or if they belonged to some one. He is calling me Monday night to give me a price on the spokes for the front of mine.. In the mean time I will watch this thread and let you know..

I dont know any of the 1 inch axle stuuf, I am real familiar with the 80s and earlier stuff..

Just get your dad to rough out a hub, outside spoke flanges, bearing bores, I will help you out telling how to drill it for the spokes..

I was thinking of taking the hub I have down there and having him bore it out to accept the bearings and make some adapters to space and attach the rotors.

the hub I have is 4.25 inches wide from flange to flange...

hmm, then there's this information about a wider hub.

HARLEY 'Narrow Glide' 2007 & up dual disc 40 spokes front hub (this style front hub became 1/4" wider on each side and now measures 5" wide. CANNOT be used on earlier models) Uses 1" front axle. This hub is new and never used. All new seals, bearings etc. Thanks for looking.

so is the hub I want 4.5 inches wide from flange to flange?
