the stellar reviews it got have made my decision for me. he's also throwing in a gibson hardshell case. i dont think i can pass this up, if it's as nice as he claims it is. i miss having an acoustic pretty badly however........
this guitar is made in the same factory as the Epi dot 335 reissue and other than a slightly different headstock shape it's the same guitar and i had an epi dot 335 way back that was lost in an apartment burglary 6 years ago when i was in daytona for school at AMI

I wonder how much like an es335 it is constructed. The original 335s had a carved top and back. The sides where thin and kerfing was done for additional gluing surface. The block in the middle has 6 or so fins on it that the top glues to in the middle to provide better support and sustain.
So the chambers inside are quite large.
Hopefully it sounds good though. I want to get peavey jf-1 exp which is a 335 copy too. Reviews are really good on it too. Then maybe see about adding a trembucker to it.

Only thing I dont care for is where the pick up switch is at. But only cause it would probably get in the way of my hand! ;)

it's a late 80's/early 90's korean built guitar, and that said, the epiphonedot/335 archtop is built on the same lines with the only difference being the headstock shape. solid mahogony center and neck and maple "wings" it's going to be a 256 mile round trip for me since he doesnt have a car AND right here locally a guy offered me one of these http://www.ibanez.com/AcousticGuitars/model-AEL20EVV . an acoustic is what i really want but this 335 copy is also a very nice quitar and worth a good bit more than the 179 dollar affinity telecaster. i think that the dealbreaker, if it happens will be the 5 hour round trip while in severe pain, lord knows i dont want the wife along, she's a nightmare to be with in a car on a long trip. back in a bit with the decision, like you guys give a hairy rats ass LOL

that epi 335 thats done in the same factory does have an archtop and back and a really really nice fingerboard. this is not going to be an easy decision for me, 2 guitars that i really like, i wish all my difficult decisions were like this, something really good no matter what i decide on.

okay, this ibanez acoustic I am getting (i have made the decision) sells for 349 - 379 depending on what size the shop is where you buy it. and that the reviews for this ibanez is fantastic, even though the Kay is also getting good reviews, the acoustic/electric really is what i set out to get in exchange for my tele, it really never fit in with the rest of it's guitar siblings, and it isnt humane to make it stay where the other kids are going to taunt and belittle it. the rest of the kids have said they really want a baby acoustic brother, especially since i put their Fender Gemini sister up for adoption. yeah it's time to go back to sleep. i get kind of punchy and irreverant when i'm this tire.
