Found this simple program, you decide if you want to download it... it looks worthwhile for the people who don't want to use their calculator,
or wouldn't know how to like me....

I'll throw in a bit of text, to show what it does........sorry should have done that first

GearCalc README File.

DISCLAIMER:  User accepts program as is.  Author assumes no risk.

Requires Windows 3.x, Windows NT, or Windows 95.

Ever wonder...
   - The bike's RPM at 60MPH?
   - The bike's engine RPM when cruising down the highway?
   - How will adding a tooth to the rear sprocket effect the top end?
   - What gear ratios are right for the new track?
   - The bike's top end at redline?
   - Is putting on a taller tire a good idea?
   - etc., etc., etc....
      ....wonder no more!

   Welcome to GearCalc!

Installation is pretty easy.

   - Copy GC_Vxxx.ZIP to the folder or directory of your choice.
(where "xxx" is the revision number of your GearCalc program.)

   - UnZip the file GC_Vxxx.ZIP (goto www.winzip.com is you do not know how to UnZip a file).

   - Double click on GEARCALC.EXE from File Manager or Windows Explorer to run the program. This will run GearCalc.

   - You can delete the GC_Vxxx.ZIP file.  It is no longer needed.

Installation Note:  The program require the MicroSoft file "VBRUN300.DLL" to be on your PC.
The "VBRUN300.DLL" can be in your "Windows System Directory" or it can be in the
same directory that you copied your new software to.
You probably don't even need to worry about this because almost every computer
we already has the file "VBRUN300.DLL" on the hard disk from the factory.
If you do not have "VBRUN300.DLL" you can download it from Microsoft.
There is also a copy of "VBRUN300.DLL" on the www.ironjungle.com "IJ Software" page.

NOTE:  GearCalc v3.xx+ will NOT read GearCalc v2.xx files.

I hope you find the program useful.

Registration will remove the 'Welcome' screen and enable the File Save feature.

If I remember right it needs to be copied to your system or sytem32 folder.  C:/windows/

Been awhile since I had to install it.

The vbrun300.dll is the visual basic runtime component (dynamic link library to be accurate), it just has to be present to use programs created with "visual basic" (a microsoft program that makes creating simple windows programs pretty easy). You can't run the .dll file, so Windows will ask you what to do with it if you try.
Most systems will have this already so try running the actual GearCalc program and if it won't go, try putting the .dll where the readme suggests...

DD,

Should have selected 'save' to the location he indicated or then copy it to the he location indicated. Give it another try. It's also a compressed file so you will have to unzip it and direct the unzipped file(s) to the correct Win folder.
