replacement masters....Brembo?
« on: February 23, 2010, 09:25:50 PM »
so i was reading through a few other posts and was thinking about replacing my masters, well i would need to rebuild the ones i have so why not upgrade.
i heard that there is a brembo master that can be made to work on the rear of a cb750f i would like more info on that if anyone has it.  im planing on running tazzio rearsets if that matters.
what about the front?  i plan to run 82 twin piston fronts. is there a brembo master that works on the front?
it doesnt need to be brembo but it is a good name in brakes and so much of the bike is new and redone i would like to keep up the theme of using the best parts that i can.
thanks for any help

AP classic master cylinder for my money on the front - awesome piece of kit and it really works while keeping the period look. They do a rear master too but I don't use hydraulic rears so don't know how it works. Check out the details on :

Yes - bolt on. The only thing you might need to do is change the ends of your brake lines to a banjo rather than a male/female fitting and get a 3/8 banjo bolt for the m/c. Otherwise, bolt and go! (or should that be bolt and stop!!)

I have a rear Brembo master cylinder on my Yam R1...maybe one purchased from a breaker (salvage yard?) would be useable?

Deja vu.  Thought I answered this same question on my project thread.

Anyway, check out page 15 of KB02's project thread. He fabbed a bracket and rod that operates a small rear master cylinder.
Take care,
David
