Any Bultaco folk round here?
« on: March 03, 2010, 11:25:39 AM »
if so what do you think this would be worth? all i know at the moment is its a metralla with a pursang 250cc motor. both unknown years, non running... has full fairing not in good shape though, bunch of little cosmetic things wrong the bike. been sitting at my brother in-laws shop for a few years. i think i want it but the actual owner swears its worth a crap load of money... but i doubt it. im kind of vague cause the owner doesnt even know much about it, just that he paid a lot for it... any ideas?

Like all bike sales the owner thinks it is worth mega bucks and the buyer thinks it should be a cheap deal, somewhere in the middle lies the truth. ;D
Offer him what you want to pay for it because that is the true test.
Not sure about getting parts for the Bultaco, were very rare in NZ even when they were new.
After running a search for the Bultaco in NZ for sales, this was the only item listed and apparently it is a Cotton Trials bike with the only Bultaco parts the wheels? :o

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

The few Bultaco bikes I've seen are in museums. :D
I like the dirt bike! It reminds me of my first bike, an MCB Monarch 125!
