Quick 77 CB550K Carb Question with picture
« on: March 03, 2010, 11:46:13 AM »
Purchased the carb rebuild kit from Sirius Consolidated and was ready to put in the new air screw (I think that's what it is...new to this stuff), and there's a clip included in the air screw package. I don't remember a clip originally being in there. Is this just extra? Again, it was in a smaller package with the spring, gasket and washer for the air screw, but could it be to something else (for the needle I'm guessing)? And the gasket goes in first, right? Thanks in advance.

FYI, it's not an air screw, as earlier models had.  It's pilot screw or and Idle Mixture screw.  These function backwards from air screws.
Anyway, it doesn't have or need that E clip.  Looks like a clip for the slide needles.  Spare.
