360 carbs
« on: January 15, 2006, 07:23:42 AM »
DK list a carb kit for a 74.  My clymer says the carbs are the same for all 360s.  Is there any reason why the wont work on my 76?

Terry,

The 360 carbs. had a few different "setting marks" (745B, 747B, 759A, etc.), which, I believe, translated into different jetting in some cases.   One of the '76 models, for example, used a 110 main jet in place of the 100 used on previous models.

Not sure if this helps or not, but the setting mark should be stamped in a boss located on the outboard side of the carb.  The jets, of course, are size marked, as well.

Best of luck.
