A buddy of mine manages this shop.....
« on: January 15, 2006, 07:25:47 AM »
http://www.ktrmotorsports.com/  Check out the Facility Tour etc.   Andy Funk has seen his share of CB's too!  This shop was originally started by J. Geils (of the J. Geils band) though he sold out of the business about 10 years ago. This is the new facility. I'm going there tomorrow with a friend to check it out...it's always sensory overload.

I'm sure they are either MV's or Ducati's Sam. I remember the oild place for years and seeing a 73 SS Ducati all the time....like new. That place had so many priceless cars and bikes I can't even remember. Andy always busts my balls about my involvement with CB's....it is all in good fun AND the fact he always has a soft spot in his heart for them. ;) ;D

I noticed they advertise Chevron cars.
Back in the 60s Chevron Cars was just round the corner from me in a place called Bolton.
A aquantence of mine Ron Williams served his apprentiship there as a chassis designer before changing over to bikes.
You may or may not have heard of him but he is one of the top chassis designers in the world.
Chevron themselves moved down south some years ago and now have a plant over your side.

As a side note...I remember going to the original shop one very snowy saturdaday morning...my first son was only 6 month's old at the most. Andy and I talked the #$%* for an hour or at least until I had to pee. He held my son and when I got back my boy was sittimg in Phil Hill's Mexican Carrea winning Ferrari. The real one. It was just Andy, me, and Clayton with no pics but...it happenened. Good enough for me.
