Hello all
« on: March 08, 2010, 04:06:06 PM »
Ok where to start new here  :o Husband taught me how to ride a motorcyle started off on a cb750 and then he taught me how to do the course before i took the test on a friends honda rebel and that is what i took the test on. needless to say that was about 3 years ago lol. I do believe that his cb750 didn't like me because every time i got on her she gave ME problems  ::) I guess she only wanted on man  :P But she failed to realize when she thew her cam chain on me lol i was going to pick him up from work  :D. But she didn't throw to much of a fit with the cam chain because she was fixable without having to replace the motor  ::). LOL That Bike is something else. lol If you have not figured out by the name I am droopys wife "THE BETTER HALF ANYWAY"  ;D lol He is teaching me all he knows about bikes and I like to know more about honda's since that's all we every really known and liked. Anyway I hope to learn alot about bikes by being here and reading posts, one day i plan to get a bike i have to build from scratch, something to do as a family. The kids love to ride on the back of the bikes, it's just awsome. maybe they will learn alot to .

Welcome on board!  (pun intentional :D )

That Rebel must have felt like a toy after learning on a 750 :)  Good on you for learning to wrench on them as well as ride them, my wife does the same.  Sounds like you're raising your kinds in fine tradition as well :)

we most certinally will, I never knew that a motorcyle community could be so close even though so far away. We have gone on many benefit rides while we lived in orlando and it's just awsome the community. Thanks for the couple part we have been married for 10 years now and plan on many more to come. lol and mistic i forgot to say that yes the rebel was a 250 and it felt like a toy lol, but i knew i couldnt pass the test without the 250 i am so short  ::)

Well, I can guarantee you that this bunch of folks are the best ever, if a person has a need, all they have to do is lay it out there and these folks will respond continuously. My own feeling is that this the only forum with a HEART! 8)

welcome to the madness from Columbia SC!
Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.

Welcome from the New Zealand sector of SOHC4, my partner also wrenches and rides (when I figure out what's wrong with her GSX400L) ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

:D ::) That's gotta be the reason why she threw such a fit and threw her cam chain and made me walk half mile to get to call him  :P

She's still learning stuff, mind you she's a quick study and only needs to be shown something once.
It's kinda nice to be explaining something most guys can't get a grasp of but she does. :)
She had her first car accident at 7 when she wrote off her brother's go-cart into a power pole, girl racer in the blood I guess. ;D
She's repainted the tank and side covers while I'm trying to figure out why the bike wont go, then sick of waiting she built a bird aviary cos she wants parrots and budgies. :D
But yeah it helps if your partner also rides, they just understand you more. ;)

Welcome Mrs Droopy, good to hear from you again.
Sounds like you are getting your life back on track after all the crap that was thrown at your family last year. How is your daughter doing after her illness?

Nice to hear little things like cam chains don't discourage you.
My wife keeps saying she wants to learn to ride.
Maybe this year.

Well she is doing better, they said that it was phyological so she has gone to see a child phycologist and on the 22nd of march we have a parent report which should give us a more indepeth look as to what is going on with her. When we find out on the 22nd as to what she said I will post back in this thread and let everyone know what is going on, right now there are quite a few irons in the fire to try and figure out, like 6 of them. but I am pretty sure she may have figured out. ;)

That is always a cool thing when the other half wants to ride, makes marriage much easier lol. Just don't let her ride your mistress or she throw a fit  :D
