I got it bad
« on: March 06, 2010, 02:35:28 PM »
I was driving to work today and saw this older Honda outside minding its own business,So I stopped.79 cx500 with 22k on the clock. The owner said it would run with a charge and he wanted it gone.I offered him 50 bucks and he said 'we got beer tonight honey' talking to his wife.Third bike and less than 3 weeks.I got the sickness bad.
What can be done to cool these bikes out?

It's nice to stumble on a cheap bike now and again!

Just curious...what part of the country are you from?

Thanks. I was curious due to the recent posts about cheap bikes not being located in the southern states.
I was given a 1976 550K, non running and bad pipes but otherwise good with 6500 miles in CT.
Rebuilt the carbs and just fired it tonight! This will be my Florida ride!

Might have hit pay dirt again!

Talking with a buddy today who just moved into an old friends home.
His old fiend has passed away and his wife is in a nursing home.
In the basement is a gold CB 350 and a blue Super Cub.
Both last registered in 1978. Been sitting since in a heated basement.
I've got three bikes already and really don't need two more...but.......!

I'll keep my fingers crossed and see what developes.
Two more northern bikes just sitting for years!
