Newbie Checking in from England
« on: March 07, 2010, 09:09:20 AM »
Hi All

Another newbie checking in, this time from sunny England, been hanging around the CB750 forums for a while dream, well finally managed to get the wife to let me buy another bike....£800 from ebay...1978 CB750K7. runner although a bit rough, carbs and timing me thinks but we'll see.... still standard-ish.... pod air filters and a "laser" 4 into 1 exhaust (covered in soot) running rich, not unexpected as guy i bought it off said he had to use the choke all the time.

Prob going to go down the cafe Racer look, although no def plans, except to get her running sweet first..

Also sitting in the garage is my 2000 zx9r ninja. 1986 CBX 750, 1953 BSA B31 (been in the family since new)

Any that covers the hello and hope to see you all on the forums. also joined the UK site under the same name so chat soon, plenty of questions ready as no mechanical experience sbut hey ho mistakes are the best way to learn. sure i heard that somewhere..

Danny

Welcome from me too - (I am in the UK - East Yorkshire)

Be sure to check on the UK site too.

I got a k7 for 25 quid last year, just for it's crank, for my K0. It was nicknamed by me as 'The Monster from the Swamp'.

I reckon the K7 will appreciate in years to come but bits can be ahrder to find than my K0 (e.g exhausts/ rear tyre etc)

Did you see the Classic Mechanics feature on a K7 resto? If not PM me and I will scan it and send it to you.

Cheers !! Ash D
