I went out, rolled the winows down on the GTX, fired it up, warmed it up and headed out to get on hwy 71 to go up and take care of my Dad. Got just into Fort Smith and I see one of those newer Dodge Charger R/Ts coming up. Well, next thing I know, I'm looking over to see if it was close to me yet and it was right beside me with the passenger window down and there were 2 girls in it, with one of them taking pictures of the car! ::) They seemed to be having a good time and then pulled slightly ahead. As we went up the hwy, my lane was moving faster and I went on ahead of them. Then, next thing I know, they are up beside me again and the one driving, starts gasing the Charger some. we played around like that for a bit and then they got on the freeway, while I went on up to where I needed to turn. That was fun, glad there wasn't a cop around. ;)

       Twas Fun! 8)

AND, the thing is, I was just returning home a few minutes ago and as I was waiting to turn into my neighborhood, that SAME Charger went by and honked! ;) Seems as though that Charger just might be a local resident! ::) ;D We will see what (if anything) happens. ;)

Went back into Fort Smith this afternoon and on my way back, I came upon a car at a stoplight, that was pretty interesting. Imagine, I was sitting at a stoplight beside a Silver '69 Pontiac GTO (and it was a 4sp car, to boot). I could not believe it, anybody in the area, would think it was back in time with TWO 1969 model Performance Cars sitting side by side at a stoplight. No, since it was back in the old days, we didn't come off the lne, when the light changed. :D We simply admired each others ride and took off like civilized people. To much a chance of cops and getting caught by getting hung up in traffic. Been nice to have been able to get a photo of THAT THOUGH! 8)

Today, I was headed back into Fort Smith and had to stop at a stoplight and I don't know why, but when the light changed, I started away and then  (for some reason) wound it up in 1st and grabbed 2nd gear rubber! :o  This thing has rear tires that are like new, a good thread design and about 12" wide! :o I was impressed! I knew it ran good, but didn't realize just HOW good! I won't be doing THAT much, no telling WHAT those tires cost, They AREN'T cheapies! ::)
