I regret selling most things I sell Fuzz meister, I think it's natural. I'd love to have all the bikes I've sold over the last 40 years, in the same condition they left my care, but I'd need a garage a hell of a lot bigger then the one I've got now, ha ha! Regardless, I feel your pain mate. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I regretted selling some of my bikes so much I bought them back years later. Two of them I still have because they came back in such a mess I'm having to restore them to the condition they left me in. Always try and move forward - the past is an expensive direction to look sometimes  ;)

Sold a spare F2 frame, then I found out the one I used was twisted and then I had to find another one.  If you are restoring a bike, don't sell off your spares until at least a year later or not a all.  You never know when something will break, bend or you start modifying parts!

i'm trading the telecaster i just got and really havent bonded with, for an Ibanez AEL20E in the vintage violin finish. i dont normally care for acoustic guitars with a cutaway but this is one beautiful instrument. in it's electronics package is an on-board tuner, i'm picking it up this evening.

I traded a mint '75 Rickenbacker 4001 bass for a Yamaha CP30 electric piano back in '85, because I had given up trying to make it professionally and thought I would just bang around on the piano occasionally. It wasn't long before I realized I would rather bang around on that Rick. I've gotten rid of the piano and acquired another bass since, but I beat myself up pretty hard on a regular basis for letting that Rickenbacker get out of my hands. knowing what those things sell for now, vs the $550.00 I paid for it new, doesn't make me any happier.

i've been playing and working on the affinity telecaster i got a few weeks ago from musicians friend for 143.99 (returned items are cheaper) and i'm sure that the guitar players here know what i'm saying when i never was able to "bond" with this guitar, i just never liked the way it felt or soumded i even tried several different brands/weights of strings and i couldnt make myself like it so i put it up on my local craigslist a few days ago for sale or trade (remember i miss having an acoustic) a guy emailed me this morning asking if i was interested in a trade for an alvarez acoustic/electric RF8c model and i said lets meet and we can check out each others guitars. well he went ape#$%* over the affinity telecaster and needless to say i loved this alvarez from the moment i picked it up. in fact, if it were legal or even possible for me to marry a guitar i would. it feels and sounds fantastic, through an amplifier or unplugged. and it has beautiful abalone inlay around the sound hole and a pretty logo on the headstock in goldleaf. i have finally got a collection of guitars that i'll never ever sell under any circumnstances. pictures to follow as soon as i can put this guitar down long enough to take a few.

even though i've only had it a couple of days i can say without a doubt that this guitar is a keeper. along with the Danelectro and the SG and the Strat, only dire circumstances will make me sell this guitar. it's loud as hell, sounds amplified even when it isnt plugged in and it has nice smooth action.

cant relate to selling a guitar, but fly rods, yes.
As a hobby, i build them for myself, and once in a while, for friends.
I love to fish small mountain creeks.  out of the way stuff.
the kind you gotta go "Bear Grylls" to get to.
We'll, one winter i decided to build myself the ultimate small creek stick.
(3pc, 1wt, 6'10" for those needing specs)
I went all out, 4 color wraps, titanium guides, nickle silver hardware, exotic wood/cork handles, feather inlays...  a 3 month build.  it fished like a champ!
Kinda like starting with a perfect CB frame, and being able to pick and choose the best of the best parts, from rim to rim...all new, no expense spared.

well, a buddy saw it, loved it, and i sold it to him. :'(
I can always build another, and i plan to...but it wouldnt be the same.

he lets me use it from time to time...  :P

Meh, they are all just material possessions.

I'd feel bad for a minute or two and get over it.

I sold a hand made trumpet once Fuzzy.

Took me about a year to realize my mistake. Still kick myself to this day.

I sold a '63 Vox hollowbody teardrop guitar back in, I dunno, '89 or '90. Played terribly, but was so cool looking. Wish I still had it.
