I'll just have to see if it turns up now.... I think the owner was a little reluctant to sell but I've won the auction now so legally he has to. There weren't any other bids so I don't think it would have gone for much more money than I paid!!
You don't have the dealing hand. In my experience, it's better to use the diplomacy to convince a reluctant seller than to use the "legally binding" argument. You never know how much will he charge over postage, or how the article will arrive to you.
I just won the other day a rear mudguard for my CB350. 45 euro + shipping, and the seller was in France (neighbour to Spain). The seller replied he didn't want to sell because he couldn't speak either spanish or english -the mail was translated by a friend-. I could have tried to convince him, but what the heck? I told him to relist it and exchange feedback. I'll try to get another one.
As long as you have good feedback and a Paypal account I can't see the problem in selling overseas. Actually, there are less chances that an unsatisfied buyer steps at your door, asking for a refund... ;-)
