CB750 on Caprica!!!!
« on: March 12, 2010, 08:33:08 PM »
I'm watching Caprica on the SciFi channel and there's a CB750 on there that one of the characters rides, it's about 25 minutes through the show.
The scene is some guy and a girl sitting on a swing set talking and it's right next to them.

the episode is "The Imperfections Of Memory"
everything I say is pure speculation and
I have no idea what I'm talking about  ._.

Yeah it's pretty cool, if you can overlook the words "frack" and "gods damn it" all the time.

The show is a prequel to Battlestar Galactica.
The story of how and why the Cylons came to be.

I can't watch it for the same reason I couldn't watch the new Battlestar Galactica.

"Frack this!  Frack that!  Frack you!!!"

It was too fracking much for me. ::)  Looks like a good show, though, other than that.

If they'd put out a dvd set of the show with all the "fracks" dubbed over, I'd watch every episode.  I love sci-fi shows like that, but I just can't get past it.

you can't get past the word "frak"???  come on guys!!  scyfy writers are genius for using this!  it's a different planet so maybe f**k doesn't exist like it is her eon earth!  i think it's cool they way they can express their emotions just the way we would by dropping the f-bomb here, except they don't have to re-write things or bleep things out.  and who knows, maybe the Romans, or Greeks used to say something like gods-dammit back then too??

Caprica is a GOOD show!!  i catch it every week on Hulu since it came out, it's a good way to kill an hour or so at work if we're slow!   :D  i LOVE the remake of BSG, used to watch it religiously until i realized the show was going to end soon, and then i stopped watching in the hopes it would magically keep going!   :(  so although i have all the dvd's i haven't finished them yet, i just keep starting over!  hell, i've probably seen season 1 9 or 10 times, haha!

but the CB in Caprica was a SUPER cool sight!!!  also, last episode i think, when they were working on the old bikes, there was some cool stuff in there!  either way, great show, and so cool an old CB was in there!!!

I have an idea, lets all replace "#$%*" with "frack" then someday soon they'll censor out that word too...

just like on the radio around here, they cant even say "F" in the context of "stop effing with me"

i'm assuming that Caprica is a show on sci-fi?

yup bucky!  it's dubbed as the first sci-fi drama/soap opera.  i don't like the 2nd one, but it's a very interesting show, at least if you enjoyed the remake of BSG.  shows you where the cylons came from, which is KIND of a big deal!!  :D

oh man, i know, i'm a nerd!  but i did get my gf to agree to watch BSG with me, so i'm gunna sucker her into watchin the season 0 mini series, all 3 hours of it!!  :D  it's strange but she'll watch BSG, but not star wars...  shes never even seen star wars!!!  how can you be alive and NOT seen that??   ??? ??? ???  ep 4,5 and 6 i'm talking about!  it's like never seeing indiana jones, it's a right of passage for any successful person!!!  haha

Lots of fracking going on with Frackmaster...

Whats wrong with not having watched Star Warts, its just sci-fi... by definition..an adult fairy tale.... not like Indy Jones at all...

Hey, I havent watched a hockey, football, or baseball game either...  :)

I started a banned word over on the ebay forums.
I started writing like "Whats the deal with this FireKing bowl ?"
, and it took right off and within about a week or 10 days they banned it.. lol..

Theres a similar one that I used there a few times and on here, that I got away with.. even closer to the real thing..

Okay, so I finally gave in and watched the 3 hour BSG miniseries a few weeks ago and got hooked, in spite of all the "frack".  I'm now up to the middle of the 2nd season and I can't stop!  I stay up way too late after work watching episode after episode, and it just keeps getting better.

Now, of course, I'm going to have to watch "Caprica" after I've gone through all of the BSG episodes.

"Frack" still pisses me off, though. ::)
