head porting

Just getting down to doing some magic to the head.

so enlarge the exhaust by 2mm and the intake or just exhaust side?

obviously lots of smoothing but anything else ?

pictures opinions and advice greatly appreciated  ;D

typically, you will gain more performance from work in the intake side. Especially on these old sohc4's.

However, it only takes five minutes and a dremel to completely screw up a head, whereas it takes years of experience, knowledge and a patient, steady hand to squeak more performance out of one.

I don't do headwork. I leave that up to the professionals, like Mike Rieck.

I'm with mlinder on this one.  Unless you are a professional, or have really steady hands and an amazing amount of patience and mechanical aptitude, you should leave this type of work to those with experience.  MRieck seems to know his stuff.

I bought a spare head to practice on.  It ain't easy.
