I have a nicer cb750 MC I would like to put on a 550. The 750 is a 1976 f model. The 550 is a 1975 f model.

Yeah, I think you can swap them. Just be sure to wire up the brake light switch.  There should be no issues with banjo bolt sizes or anything.

as long as the banjo and handlebar diameter are the same. i have one from a gsxr 750 on my k4 750
