Need a sidestand solution

So I didn't realize this when I ordered tires for my cb400f but they are one size over stock tires and now the bike is taller, and with the sidestand down it has a SEVERE lean.  So much so that I would be afraid of parking it anywhere public.  I'd hate to have to drive around everywhere with a 2X4 to put under the stand so I'm trying to think of other solutions (besides changing the tires).    Oh, center stand has been (permanently) removed

Any ideas?  Has anyone ever lengthened a kickstand, or is there a kickstand for another bike (like a 750?) that is longer, but mounts the same as the 400?

The kickstands on my 750 K2's are approx. 1 inch shorter than on my 400F.

7.5" 750K2 vs 8.5" for the 400F

Additionally the 750 kickstand rests against a rubber on the exhaust. While the 400F kickstand has a rubber attached to it.

You could just have a piece welded in to your kickstand to lengthen it to whatever you need.

+1 on getting a longer side-stand. Keep your stock unit for when the tires go away and you return to a stock profile.

yEAH I've had large fender washers welded to the bottom of mine in the past. The broader footprint keeps from sinking in asphalt, gravel etc. YOu could weld a shim first then a washer, and be pretty happy I think.

Cool, thanks for the ideas.  Maybe I'll pick an extra side stand up on ebay so I'll have one that's stock if I don't end up liking the bigger tires (I assume the geometry may be a little out of whack...)

Just as a PS: I tried to have a stand cut and a section welded in to make it longer. Admittedly it was on an old Triumph I had put extended fork on. But the metal was so cheap it didn't weld well and would keep breaking at the weld(s).

So welding something on the foot of Hondas/Yamahas was a better idea.

I never got the Triumph sorted out. It needed more height than a pad on the foot would provide, and there was a left side pipe to contend with. Always looked for a wall to lean er up against.

My sidestand is bent, I usually can find parking with a bit of slope yo make up the difference.. dead flat surface you cant.. if you weld onto bottom of your , you can always remove, and it should catch the stops..

 make sure its not bent..
