Rear Hub Indentification
« on: March 19, 2010, 06:35:18 AM »
Funny looking (to me at least) rear hub.  Anyone have any idea what it is?  (also, dont mind the sketchy guy in the corner)
Bike is a '78 750K

It locks the wheel to prevent ollaway theft, plus you dont have to carry the lock and chain.

They had a cool 8 ball lock... I am sure the bobber guys go MENTAL if they see one of them...

Bike came into my possession a bit rough   ;)

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=64649.0

No keys of any sort.  That might explain why the thing didn't want to roll.  However, since the purchase, i have managed to scrounge up the title.  So far, this bike has had a bunch of cool old tech (Martek440, full air ride, and now a wheel lock).  I am keeping my fingers crossed the engine has received the same treatment.

Check your tappet clearance, if a lot greater than stock, it probably has a cam..

Sounds like a great weekend task.  I can do this without removing the engine correct?
