I guess the bottom line is grips are very much a personal preference thing.

Now you mentioned the bottom line, yeah, these Oury things in certain circles are, ah..., let's say a very personal plug. Somebody must ship used ones, since they're so dirt cheap in USA. Sure hope you guys can come to grips with that. ;D ;D ;D

Sorry, won't do it again  ;D ;D ;D

I've had the Gran Turismos on since the early 70's. They're nice and spongy but not grippy. The other day I had to sand the right hand grip to make it less slippery under a glove - was wearing my hand out.

Yeah, well I don't like the Gran Turismo's at all, too slippery and no good with "pullback bars", you have to work hard to hold on at speed as your hands slowly slide backwards due to their shiny finish, so your hands fatigue long before your butt does.

I cut mine off and installed a cheap set of thin soft "no name" grips last week, but I like the look of the Oury's, so I might buy a couple of pairs to replace the GT's that I've fitted on other bikes in my garage. Cheers, Terry.  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

When I had my 400/4 I used Galindo Superbike grips. I liked 'em.

Gran Turismo grips from Partsnmore.  $8/pr.  So far so good, but I have almost no miles on them yet.  I was impressed at what I got for my $8.

Put a set just like these on my 550 about a month after I bought it new.  Still got them on the bars and they are still comfortable 35 years later.  Genericly the were called "Tiddi" grips because they felt so good.   ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
