750 crankshaft - timing chain teeth - wear.
« on: March 19, 2010, 09:37:10 AM »
Hi Guys.

About to begin an engine rebuild.

What level of wear is usually experienced on these teeth?

And what's the fix if the need replacing.

Thanks.

Depends if your talking about the cam sprocket or the Crank.

On the cam... adjustable cam sprockets are available and pretty much required to set up an aftermarket cam.

Replacement of the cam chain is recommended during a rebuild. Chains are relatively inexpensive and of better quality then they used to be.
