Gone in 16 Seconds - The video
« on: March 20, 2010, 02:05:18 PM »
Now like I said in my previous post I am not doing this just to plug my drilling services. But you have to admit the trailer lock is a simple solution that is a no brainer to carry with you. For reference it does fit under the seat on a stocker.

Gone in 16 Seconds - How fast can your vintage motorcycle be stolen? To find out I stole my own 75 CB750 with a basic lock pick and tension wrench made from 2 bits of a hack saw blade.

Few places in the universe are emptier than the place where your beloved motorcycle used to be.

Keep in mind that I was doing this from and amateur skill level. A pro could do this in half the time I did.

Check us out at http://www.anubiscycle.com to get your rotors cross drilled today and stop a thief in their tracks.

Welcome back (now that I've shipped my rotors to someone else - bad timing)
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

while the rotor lock is a great way for a theft deterrent, if someone really wants your bike, they'll get it no matter what.  unfortunately, i call myself an acquaintance of someone that is in jail for stealing bikes...  cables in the wheels/sprocket, disc locks, triple tree locks, there was nothing that worked to keep your bike safe.  the main thing that did deter him was an inconvenience factor, just like most thief's.  a simple disc or sprocket lock is a simple and cheap way of keeping a would be thief from stealing you bike.  also, parking it in a well lit and public area, like the front of a restaurant, bar or movie theater is another good idea.  luckily we have lady WEIGHT on our side with these old girls, so simply picking one up or pushing it into the ramp of a pickup truck isn't nearly as easy.  also, these bikes aren't super valuable like a newer crotch rocket is.

either way, very good video!!!  disc locks and hidden kill switches are a must!!

Oh well - I win some and I lose some. Either way you can make use of the trailer lock when you get your rotor(s) back from your driller.
