Very Very Nice! NOS speedo or reset? Nice tires........you may have luck using Armor-All CLEANER ......not the polish.  See you at the BARBER festival.

Whoa Gordon! Looks as if we have gone back in time, when looking at that one, except I KNOW that You have made this one BETTER than new, as you Always do.  8) ;)

Thanks Sam, Bill - I keep saying I'm done, but these little things just keep showing up. I truely have to slow down. I am out of room! I didn't show you the other new addition....

It's a long story, but a very, very good friend offered me his all-original 1971 Gold 650 for a good price. He needed to clear the coral, so I got his 3 time - 1st Place Barber's Yamaha in my garage....This is all original paint, chrome, and original tires. This bike has been very well cared for. He is the same fellow that bought one of the 200 factory 750's made in 1972 so Kenny could go racing. The man loves all things Yamaha.

Well, I said I wasn't going to do anymore........I was tired, I had no room......

Here we go again - a friend called me and said he knew of a "barn find". I did not listen to my better reasoning and now I have something to keep me busy at nights for the next year or so. This will go nicely with my 1966 S90, 1967 Black Bomber, and my 1968 CL175 Scrambler.

I'll keep you posted on the restoration.

Gordon

Finished it today with the setting of the timing and putting fuel in the tank. It started on the 2nd kick and was idleing on it's own without choke after 30 seconds. This is probably the easiest starting bike I own or have owned - the GT750 Suzuki the only close competitor. I chose to go with NOS cables and their discoloration and all as opposed to new re-makes. The throttle cable is a new replacement because I have not yet found a new 45 year old original. Still looking... I also need to work on getting that 40+ mold release wax off of the tires. I just hate getting things wet.

Gordan,
That is a beautiful bike and I had one in 69 just like that one.  I saw you started it for the first time on August 29th.  Wow!!! My Birthday.  Could I talk to you more about this bike?  My cell is 913-558-8100.
