K2 rescued..
« on: January 19, 2006, 02:49:33 AM »
Another bike saved from the breakers(or from chopping!) This bike is now being slightly restored by a mate of mine in the UK. It was advertized on the UK SOHC forum by the secretary of the Kettle Club!!
I wish I had bought it,  :-\ :'(  it is the colour I always wanted.

Very nice Jimmy, I've got a gold one like that in the garage too, it's a bit cleaner than that one, but still needs a bit of work, wanna buy it? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Terry,
These pics were taken before it was partly cleaned up, apparently it looks a lot better now! I wish I had gone to look at it, it is running and apart from cosmetic works seems to be in good shape. Needs a new tank, and some repair to the silencers and a new seat apart from that it is OK.
Hopefully I will get to ride it soon and see what it is like.
Jim.

I think the most difficult part will be getting the tank sorted and painted!!

When (if???) the paint arrives from down south its immediately to the painter with it. I will keep you posted on how it turns out. The two kits I have coming are from Don.
