New bike-any tire deals?
« on: March 22, 2010, 11:13:41 PM »
I picked up a 1977 CB550k a few days ago and am shopping for tires.  The bike has 7200 miles on the clock and is still wearing the original Bridgestone Super Speeds front and rear.

Has anyone been shopping for tires recently?  Found any tire deals that you would want to pass along?  I have been looking at DennisKirk and MotorcycleSuperstore-any other places I should be looking?

I scoured the earth and found the last bridgestone spitfire 18" RWL rear tire on the planet, so if you're looking for one of those, don't bother. lol

You can get a 16" rear rim and still find those, however.

I got a set of Shinko 712s from Motorcycle Superstore's Amazon store shipped for under $100.

How are you liking those Shinkos?  I have been debating on those-the price is right just wondering how well people like them once they get them put on.

I haven't ridden the 550 yet but I put 5000 miles on the set I put on my Nighthawk last year, and I have no complaints.
