Try taking out the line valve that is supplied in the kits.
They can be a PITA and are really not a requirement for disc brake master cylinders as the circuit is designed to be open.
It is the same as a clutch hydraulic circuit - Open circuit.
The sole purpose of the valve is to retain residual line pressure (for drum brakes) once the brakes are released.
Something in the 5>7 psi range.
Some Japanese vehicles use a residual line pressure valve in their clutch hydraulic circuits and they can and do cause non release issues.

Are your lines real old, and did you blow them out?

Terry on here had a defect in his lines (different bike) that was causing dragging problems.

Interesting, you guys are full of neat ideas. Pretty sure I blow out the old one and the other two are new.

Well its seems it was not the caliper. The new handle lever and rubber bumper inside the master cylinder housing did not let the lever out the entire distance. There was just enough interference to create a some intermittent braking. Skimmed some material and polished up the lever mating surfaces. Works like a champ now!

Would have never guessed...  :(

Great! I didn't think it was the caliper, but that particular problem was not on my radar either. I'll have to remember that.
