That blower bike must have been a real tire smoker when you yanked the throttle.
None of that turbo lag stuff... Nice bike, do you have any larger pics?

Good morning all!
I'm new to this forum as a result of a search about IDBA and coming across this particular thread.  In the photos above, the bike on the right is/was mine.  Th CB750 engine was bored to 836cc (8.0 compression ratio pistons) and had an ATP turbocharger pumping about 18 lbs of boost.  Unfortunately, I crashed it at the Bristol race in June 1977 (143.08 mph), so only pieces of it remain.  Bill, the original poster, has a GREAT memory.  Of note is that my brother's name is Earl instead of Roger, whose bike had an RC Engineering "Killer" engine and raced Pro Stock.  And... our parents did own the Honda dealership in Rockingham, NC at that time.

This thread was fantastic to find yesterday; thanks for posting!

Hi Bill,

I guess you can tell how excited I was about finding this thread.  And yes, it was a GREAT weekend.  I must say, you have a fantastic memory.  In fact, if I hadn't seen Dale mentioned during the search I made I may not have looked.  I'll see what I have and try to get another photo or two posted.

For Byron, the rag in the back pocket was vintage Byron. Every race I saw him it was the same, rag in the back pocket.

Dale
