Hi Tom, Things are well, I hope you are too.

The build is always on my mind, but too many things going on to be able to work on it. That's if I even remember how to assemble one anymore. (Just kidding, cmon). I'll give you what updates I can. I sold the head Mike built for me. Just one of those things that happens. I needed some cash and that got me there. However, my dad just happened to find a perfect new set of Manley oversized intake vales, so those are right here and I feel obliged to use them. I also have a "perfect" K head stashed for that, when the time comes.

I had some issues with the main studs, if you recall. When torqued to 20lbs as instructed they locked up the crank. and there was some resistance from about 18lbs and gets tighter as you work up to 20lbs. How do I know? Because like a moron I turned the crank by hand a number of times while it was overtightened to find at what torque the bind began. Well, I worry I might have gouged up the crank when I was fooling around with it. If I'm honest with myself, I think maybe I use that fear as an excuse to not finish it. What I need to do is just pull the crank and send it to Jay (if he's still around) to either tell me it's okay or polish it if not. Maybe that and get my replacement head work lined up and shipped. That would leave me with no excuses and might give me some motivation.

I hope you're all doing well. I'll see what the year brings and maybe do some stuff.
-Mike
