Did you tap vacuum ports into your carb boots?  I'll add them to mine after we tear the bike apart for paint and powder.  Right now, work and family are eating all of my time so the 836 is taking a 2-week breather.

I thought about the Heavy Duty chains but stayed with a new stock set. Hopefully they'll take an extra 30hp as have others in the past. The heavy duty chains are only a recent thing but would be good insurance. I don't plan on any serious flogging like the repeated runs down the drag strip or road races but it will get used some. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed.

Sorry about the lock guys, I'm on a laptop at home with a very sensative scroll pad.
I may have been reading the thread and then tried to drop down to the bottom line to go to another forum and as the curser has crossed the lock topic option, just a little to much pressure on the pad may have trigered the lock.

I have the heavy duty chains going into mine, {thanks Nippon} and i am also waiting on a manual primary chain adjuster to go with them. I want this baby to run like a sewing machine........With more power of course....

Can't tell you anything about the tensioner yet, {been asked to keep it under wraps till its finished} Send forum member Nippon or Rickey racer a PM for the chains.

PM nippon for the specs on the heavy duty chains and have a read { i had them but my computer died and i lost the email}, they are far stronger and will out last the Honda chains by years..A fifth of the wear of stock chains after 62,000 miles....not bad eh....

I had a look at those specs somewhere a few weeks back, and no doubt they're way better than stock. Definitely would have those if I was doing some racing.

Once I get my gears back from undercutting I'm going to get the entire transmission (including new OEM primary chains and a Tsubaki H/D cam chain) Cryogenically treated. It'll be interesting to see if the Cryo treatment makes an OEM chain as tough as the H/D chains? Cheers, Terry.

The main difference Terry is the one piece inner sleeves and bigger stronger parts used generally. I toowould be interested to see what difference the cryo makes.....it has to be cool.....

That's pretty much my approach. Its hard for anyone to quantufy, but even 20% stronger is a lot, and the my cryo tech says much more.

Thanks Mick, after I posted that I remembered that the industrial chain place where I bought my 630H chain for my F2 had some heavy duty chain in the same pitch as the CB750 primary chain, I might get two chains made up there and get them Cryo treated, and keep the OEM chains for my 1969 K0 engine I'm building. APE's Big Jay is doing manual tensioners.

I need to find the EXACT FACTORY location for the 3 cable clamps on the engine or else Rattlesnake will catch up to "One Eyed Anaconda", more  deadly than any Rattlesnake, when his bolts show up. How do you like that name?! Sorry Mike, just had to do it   Can anyone spot me the precise locations? Yeah I'm anal but my wife just thinks I'm an #$%*. Is there a difference?!   Damned if I don't STILL need 3 friggin bolts after about 3 orders!

Bottom end is together. The Carrillos are sticking out begging for 900 pistons. Guess I'll play a little more tomorrow. I think those fin edges are begging for finer sanding/polishing. Shift linkage awaits. Clutch awaits. Alternator awaits. Sure hope this works!!
