79 cb 750f wheels on a 78 cb750f
« on: March 23, 2010, 01:28:02 PM »
Would wheels from a 79 be able to be mounted on a 78 750f?

I found some nice ones and am a little curious as to the possibilities.

As always.... Thank You for your help!

Yuck.. Reverse comstars are so ugly. But.. I think you may need the rotors from the 78. Bolt patterns should be the same. This is the front only, I have no idea on the rear.

I'd help you out but I haven't started the same conversion on my bike yet so I don't really have any info. From what I've kind of figured out right now the front should be little to no problem. I haven't really looked into the rear yet.

Why am I thinking of this conversion? #1. So I can run my tubeless tires tubeless. #2. I think the reverse Comstars are better looking wheels...for my bike anyway. ::) I'm also converting the front brakes to the dohc dual piston calipers which can also be done without a wheel swap.
