Keihin FCR alternatives?
« on: July 28, 2010, 02:39:04 AM »
I was plannig to fit a set of 28mm Keihin FCRs to my 250-4 screamer engine to release more horsepower but it's looking like they won't fit in the replica RC162 frame - they're just too tall and too angled to get that downdraft. So I got to thinking are there any other carbs out there that might fit other than the standard carbs? I thought about CR29s but given the supply problems from SudCo they might not be an option either. there's always old style race CR29s if I can ever find them.

Question is to those that know carbs - what else could I consider? ???

Sam - it's a tigcraft frame. Interesting stuff because Dave Pearce and his tinware chap Terry Hall had access to a genuine rc162 to take dimensions off. It's a pretty nice frame and Terry's oil tank is so like the works pictures it's unreal.

Thaks for the suggestions Simon - Muikunis are good as I can talk to Allen's about them...Cheers!  ;)
